The Philadelphia Charter School for the Arts and Sciences at H.R. Edmunds opened its doors in September 2012. Formerly H.R. Edmunds, Arts and Sciences was entrusted to String Theory Schools by the School Reform Commission (SRC) as part of the School District of Philadelphia’s Renaissance
Schools initiative. Arts and Sciences is unique among Renaissance charter schools, because it has one of the most comprehensive arts programs of any elementary school in the country. Students not only learn how to perform on stage, but also how to perform in life.
