Fall Festival

Arts and sciences

The Annual Arts and Sciences Fall Festival celebrates all things fall! Our youngest students were invited to head outside and pick pumpkins in the A&S pumpkin patch. Yes, you read that right! Each year Arts and Sciences transforms the outdoor green space into a pumpkin patch complete with hay bales and "tractor rides" on the school's mini John Deere. This wonderful tradition was started by String Theory's very own Director of Facilities, Matt Wasco,  back when he was the head of facilities at Arts and Sciences. Thank you to our team at Arts and Sciences for making this event so memorable for our students!

Halloween Celebrations

Philadelphia performing arts & Arts and sciences

Our schools went all out this spooky season! From trunk or treating to staff costume contests, each building held fun-filled, Halloween themed events for students and faculty.

Student Spotlight: David Kozyrkov

PPA, Vine street campus

We are proud to be an organization that fosters students talents and interests, and gives them space for self expression. Student David Kozyrkov  arrived at Performing Arts, Vine Street Campus, last year after being forced to leave Ukraine because of the ongoing conflict. David showcases his musical talents in this self-produced music video that features him performing a song he wrote. The lyrics of his song are based on letters written by his dear friend who is still in Ukraine and currently serving as a solider on the front lines.

Unity Day

PPA, East Campus & West Campus

Unity Day is an event to recognize National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. Students wore orange to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent students being bullied. PPA East and West participate in Unity Day each year and gather together to show their dedication to creating a school community of caring. Shout out to our school counselors for organizing this important event!

Fifth Grade Ambassadors

PPA, West Campus

Congratulations to the newest group of Fifth Grade Ambassadors at the West Campus! These students exemplify the mission of the school through their hard work, thoughtful actions, and dedication to making the school a welcoming place for all.

Hispanic Heritage Month Performance

ARTS AND SCIENCES

Arts and Sciences music and ballet majors joined together with guest artists for a special performance in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Guest Artist: Sara Michaels

PPA, West campus

Jazz vocalist Sara Michaels visited 5th grade Vocal Majors to perform her new song "When the World Gets Better". She was accompanied by Guitarist E. Shawn Qaissauncee  and bassist Jason Fraticelli. Ms. Michaels spoke with the students about songwriting and the important messages that can be shared through music. Students shared their thoughts and performed their own song, "Be the Change".
